New York, think about this for a moment: it doesn't happen every day that Luna kicks off a massive North American tour, and added New York as a stop. In fact, the dream pop legends are treating the city to something even more special - a multi-night residency at the Bowery Ballroom from April 2-5, with this show being the second night of their intimate stand.
So when they announce dates for New York, you do what you've got to do to get your hands on some tickets. And you better hurry, because events such as Luna sell out insanely fast - and you'd have to kick yourself if you had to miss it! Luna has been knocking the pop-world off its axis and it's common knowledge that whenever Luna descends upon the stage, it's unlike anything you've ever experienced before. Described by Rolling Stone as "the best band you've never heard of," Dean Wareham and the band have been crafting intricate guitar work and poetic lyrics since 1991. From the string of chart-toppers that could get even the most salty cynic turning their head to the truthful lyrics that reflect an entire generation; from the impressive ability to go from pumping beats to balladry in seconds to the incredible musicianship that drops jaws and pops eyes; from the sincere, one-of-a-kind brand of music to the memorable sounds and pure energy-TNT that can knock the earth off its axis - Luna live in concert is unlike anything you've ever witnessed before! Expect to hear classics like "Bonnie and Clyde," "Chinatown," and tracks from their latest album "A Sentimental Education," plus special guest Elk City will open the night.
